Woman’s hack to clean Pandora bracelet in five minutes and it looks good as new

A woman has shared a clever hack for cleaning Pandora jewellery in just five minutes – and the finished result looks good as new.

The bracelets can be tricky to scrub as the charms are small with intricate detail, but TikTok user @ michellemorera_ believes she’s cracked it.

Her approach requires two household items you’ve probably got in the kitchen cupboard already and is quick and easy.

She shared the video with the caption: “Hope this helps anyone else! my bracelet looks brand new :)”.

She said: “My Pandora bracelet was tarnished due to contact with sulfur and my warrantee was up.

“What I used: boiling water, aluminium foil, one tablespoon of baking soda and one tablespoon of salt.”

She places the water, baking soda and salt in a bowl lined with foil and leaves it to soak for five minutes.

When she takes it out, the bracelet is very shiny and all the tarnish has vanished.

Fans were quick to comment on the post and couldn’t wait to try the tip.

One wrote: “Thanks I needed to know this!”

Another added; “This soooo worked! Warning though, it smells like rotten eggs. Thanks for the great tip.”

A third commented: “Thank you so much for this. I haven’t worn mine because of the colour change and expired warranty.”

But for some it wasn’t new, with one adding: “I’ve been doing this for many years, I saw this back in the 80s.”

Others also commented to share their own hacks.

One wrote: “My mom cleans her silver with baking soda and lime and it comes up looking brand new! You use the lime juice to scrub the baking soda on the jewellery.”

Another added: “Toothpaste works really well too!”

However be warned, as some users have been pretty grossed out by how much dirt comes out of the bracelets when you clean them.

When an unnamed woman posted a similar hack in the Facebook group We Love Mrs Hinch.

She recommended pouring hot water into a bowl and mixing it with a big squirt washing up liquid, before putting the bracelet in and leaving it for five minutes.

“Decided to try the washing up liquid with hot kettle water to clean my Pandora,” she wrote.

“The c**p that has come off is crazy. All that black is off my charms.”

Alongside this she shared several photos of before and after and they showed lots of dirt lying on the bottom of the bowl around the bracelet.

Her post quickly garnered a lot of attention, getting more than 300 comments and over 240 likes.

Many people were disgusted by the amount of grime on the bracelet and vowed to go and wash their own right away.
